Fitzsimons Lane, Eltham and Templestowe

In September and October 2018, we shared our proposed design of the Fitzsimons Lane Upgrade and wanted to hear your feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us your thoughts about our proposed design. You can find out more about what we heard below.

As part of the Fitzsimons Lane Upgrade, we’ll:

  • install traffic lights to replace the roundabouts at Main Road and Porter Street
  • upgrade the intersection at Foote Street
  • install new traffic lights at the Leane Drive T-intersection
  • convert bus lanes to all vehicle use between Porter and Foote Streets
  • build walking and cycling path connections
  • install safety barriers at key intersections.

The Fitzsimons Lane Upgrade will:

  • improve traffic flow and travel times through opening lanes to all traffic between Porter and Foote Streets
  • make it easier and safer for you to walk or cycle around your local area.
